FINTAK Talent Exchange: candidate terms (v2026-11) 1. What the Exchange is. The Fintech Association of Kenya (FINTAK) runs the Talent Exchange to show verified fintech professionals to verified employers. FINTAK is not an employment agency. It does not recruit, shortlist, place or negotiate for you or for any employer, it is not a party to any job or contract that follows, and it never charges a placement fee. 2. Applying and being contacted are free. No employer on the Exchange may ask you for money for any reason, including registration, training, medical, uniform, processing or interview fees. If one does, report it from your dashboard at once. FINTAK will never ask for your M-Pesa PIN. 3. The verification fee. Verification is charged at the price shown when you submit your profile and lasts 12 months. The fee is waived for the first 100 candidates to enrol. A waiver is held for 30 days from enrolment and returns to the pool if you have not submitted your profile for verification by then. Each person can receive one waiver, even after deleting and re-creating an account. The fee pays for the checks, not for an outcome. It is not refundable once checks have started. If your profile is not verified, you may correct it and resubmit once at no charge. 4. What verification means. A FINTAK verifier sees your identity document on a video call and does not copy or store it, confirms your most recent employment, checks each certification with its issuer where the issuer allows, and reviews your proof of work. Your profile shows the date of verification. A badge means these checks were made on that date. It is not a reference or a recommendation. 5. Accuracy. You confirm that everything in your profile is true and yours to share. Changes to your roles or certifications after verification are marked "updated since verification" until a verifier re-checks them at no charge. 6. Who sees your profile. You choose one of three settings and can change it at any time. Public: anyone can see your profile once FINTAK opens the public directory. Employers only: verified employers see your full profile. Quiet: verified employers see an anonymised summary without your name, photo or employers. Your email and phone are never shown. They are shared with an employer only when you accept that employer's request. 7. How long your profile stays up. A published profile stays visible for six months. FINTAK reminds you 30 days before it lapses, and one click keeps it up. A lapsed profile is deleted 60 days later. You can hide your profile, download your data or delete your account at any time from your dashboard. 8. Features. Paid features on FINTAK's LinkedIn page and website are labelled "Paid feature". Editor's picks are free, chosen by FINTAK with a written reason, and labelled "Editor's pick". Paying for a feature does not affect verification or how employers see you. 9. Suspension. FINTAK may hide or suspend a profile that appears false, misleading or abusive, or that receives reports, while it reviews the matter. FINTAK tells you why and how to respond. 10. No guarantee. FINTAK does not promise that you will be contacted, interviewed or hired, and is not responsible for any employer's decisions or conduct. Judge every offer for yourself. 11. Law. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
